Katie Paris is an Ohio suburban mom and 25-year political veteran. In 2019, Paris quit her job in national politics to found Red Wine & Blue, a community of over half a million diverse suburban women, working together to defeat extremism, one friend at a time. Paris explores the women's club movement, whose millions of members shaped Progressive Era reform and the fight for civil rights.

The compulsion to associate women's activities, humor, political and social lives with Wine is unfortunate and uninformed. While I appreciate the mission and impact of the Red Wine and Blue club, there are tragic consequences of this flippant association. Our country has an epidemic of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD)which deeply affects at least 1 in 20 individuals. Most of our social ills are tightly coupled to FASD. I hope we can learn to face this with honesty and integrity. The first step is removing the mask of comedy to reveal the actual tragedy.
This is an amazing 250 to 250! Thank you to Ms. Paris and Ms. Richardson for bringing it to us in such rich detail. I learn so much from these delightful and informative episodes.
