Samuel Adams is the real deal.. the real 250..

IMO, Samuel Adams was the single most important person in making the revolution start. I’ve read a half dozen biographies written in the past few decades, and, while I don’t feel qualified to say if Schiff’s or John Alexander’s is the “best”, I will say Schiff’s is by far the best written. One is almost distracted from the history by the elegance of the prose.
