Stephanie Murphy was the Florida congresswoman. A Democrat, she represented Florida's 7th Congressional District from 2017 to 2023, the first Vietnamese-American woman elected to the U.S. Congress (clobbered a "sure-thing" 12-term incumbent in a huge 7-county district (from Orlando to Jacksonville, despite Trump easily carrying Florida, no experience, and entering race at the filing deadline!). Fled Vietnam (a "boat person"). A prominent leader of Congressional impeachment of Trump, and a leading candidate for Governor in 2028! Gerrymandered out of her district by fascist Governor DeSantis.
The snowflake analogy isn't proper, because the definition of "significant" decline in GDP is measurable; there are 2-standand deviation statistical tests (the difference between trivially unique and substantially unique). But Recession has always been a media and political term only, which is fine for casual voter shorthand as long as data collecting isn't politicized (as dictators like Trump always do) and definitions are consistent (don't characterize recessions as "corrections").
