Min Jin Lee is the award-winning author of “Free Food for Millionaires” and “Pachinko,” a finalist for the National Book Award. Her fiction explores the Korean diaspora and identity, and she currently serves as New York State Author Laureate. Lee profiles Nam June Paik, the Korean American artist who became the father of video art and foresaw our connected digital future.

I'm especially fascinated to hear he stated (many years ago): "In the future, everyone will have their own channel." That's awfully close to where we are right now. I'm very curious now to know more about his life and vision. Thanks for posting!
The great thing about old art is that it assumes the viewer has a soul and addresses it directly. No permission slip, no apology, no little note explaining why beauty is problematic this season. The image simply stands there with quiet authority and waits for the viewer to become less silly.
