And today we still reap the benefits of the CCC every time we go to a national park!
I remember as a very small child my father describing the CCC's accomplishments when he himself was a very young man. Just think of what something like the CCC could accomplish today for Americans if so many billions were used for a similar program (hiring both men AND women this time) instead of the ridiculous waste of money on the Orange Ogre's war on Iran. Not to mention all of the Ogre's other vanity projects. IMHO, that is what Biden was hoping for when he signed the Infrastructure bill during his administration.
