Kern County Board of Education Improvement Coalition member Ellen Schafhauser gave a presentation to the Kern County Board of Education at the July 2026 meeting on a series of one minute videos called 250 to 250: We Are America 250 that are available for free usage by teachers as extra curriculum activity. Before the presentation other community members spoke highly of the series. Several members of the board also enjoyed the presentation Ellen gave while pointing out this board doesn't oversee curriculum in the county operated classrooms.
